GTA 4 wont started

I just downloaded GTA 4 and i would started it after I entered my data logging and clicked start nothing happened and GTA 4 did not start what can i do

i have the same problem but only with Windows 8 Pro

1. Удалить все старые версии, если таковы есть;
2. Скачать и установить {LIEN SUPPRIMÉ}xliveredist.msi (22мб);
3. Скачать и установить {LIEN SUPPRIMÉ}gfwlivesetup - 624 Кб (в процессе установки загрузит еще около 30мб);
4. Зайти в C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE\Client и запустить файл GFWLive.exe, ввести логин и пароль от своего аккаунта;
5. Теперь GTA 4 и эпизоды должны спокойно запустится.

Same for me, I bought the disk but that did not work, so i thought that the steam version might work so i bought that one too, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sux that i spent 49.99 in total for a blank screen

What is your os and graphic card? Have you install the newer gfwl?

I've got that problem too. I thing it's caused by Steam's uptade - for Linux.
Can anybody help?

I got the same problem. Just installed the game, sign in, press play, and nothing happens.
