Glitch with xbox one controller?

So I just picked up GTA 3. i start he game and the first thing that happens once I get to the point where the character enters the world is the camera goes above his head looking down and it spins continuously.

There is nothing I can do to stop the spinning camera execpt taking the batteries out of my controller, a fairly new xbox one. The controller is undamaged and works perfectly with all other games.

Has anyone had this glitch and is there anything I can do before I go for a refund?

Some people tend to have that issue - you can either unplug the controller or try to grab GInput, especially if you're interested in playing the game using this controller:

Probably not, I wouldn't mind it if there were no glitches, but it seems like a hassle to install some addon for one game

Maybe - though this is a mod for the game, not a program you have to install. Thus, it's not something which you "keep in your system just for one game".
