The original Final Fantasy IV which I knew as Final Fantasy II when I was a kid is a childhood fav this is a nice tribute to a game I grew up with

Outstanding game.

I'm having a great time, and am continuing the journey of playing the Final Fantasy games in order. This game is a heavy hitter as far as story is involved and is, in my opinion, takes all the best parts from the previous games, and forms a masterpiece with them. The game seems like they have gotten comfortable with the systems that they have developed and have started to get more creative, and there is absolutely a focus on story in this game.

If I had to pick an FF game to start with, I might debate a bit between this one and III, but at the end of the day I think III is where they developed the systems how they wanted them, and IV is where they were confident in them, and started to play creatively, and for me that puts IV over the top.
