Wont Load

So I downloaded this game to relive some memories. Yes I know this game sucks in the visual depertment, but I loved playing this game as a kid. Unfortunately after I start the game it wont load at all. The only thing I get is some frog/cricket sounds at the start with a black screen and nothing else. It just stays at the black screen and doesnt load. I have tried exiting an reloading with no progress. Also tried deleting the game and Steam then reinstalling, but still nothing changes. Anyone have a solution to this problem that I am having?

Pour ma part, sur Win 7 64 bits le jeu ne se lance que si je fais un clic droit sur les fichiers locaux et clique sur game;exe. Sinon steam indiquera que le jeu est lancé sans que rien ne se passe et il ne sera pas possible d'arreter proprement le jeu et de se déconnecter de Steam à moins de redémarrer l'ordinateur.
