- Getting to Lovers' Peak. That one section where you actually are able to run out of ammo and are forced to sprint through five enemies... either or would've been doable but the combination of both forces that paranoia that I have to try to Mike Tyson Punch-Out shuffle through all encounters now because for all I know it's going to pull the same crap again.
- The encounter against the Taken with the kidnapper... would've been nice knowing that whatever spawned was directly behind me. 1-2 HP loss every single time so I had to put my back to a wall.
- The birds at the cabin. Every single flock has to dive in from BEHIND. Another case of no-warning lame hits landed because of the awkward over-the-shoulder camera angle it takes advantage of.
- The monotony in having to shine a flashlight to break a shield so you can kill them or at least not deal with the overused blur effects.
What are you doing looking at these topics when it's discussing something that would require playing through the game to know about?
Note: I added numbers to your "bullets" so people will know which ones I'm responding to as follows:
1. There are actually no infinite enemy respawn points in Episode 2. It's possible to handle all the Taken with the provided ammo, if you're good enough...
2. Yeah, the fight with the kidnapper is a pain, no way to deny that. But if you make good use of your flares (e.g., knowing when to drop them and when to carry them), it's not too bad. Also know when to boost your flashlight on approaching enemies. When they start to speed up in your direction or are about to hit you (or the kidnapper), boosting will faze them and buy you time.
3. I thought that part was fun! You get a healthy sum of flare gun ammo and flares (Don't forget to get the supplies from the hidden chest that is now behind the cabin
) and you also know that it's OK to use everything you have since the game is about to take it all away anyway.
4. I always found it odd that people complained about the monotony of having to use the flashlight and gun combo... while most shooters only feature a gun... *shrugs*
