Can you replay Alan Wake?

I finished this game about three months ago and loved it, but I was wondering if there is any fun in replaying the story? It just doesn't seem like the kind of game that would be fun two times over.

Depends how much you liked it. I've played through it about 4 times now (three on the Xbox, once on PC). I have no regrets.

I actually am playing through this for the third time ... I played it on the Xbox 360 when it first came out and enjoyed it so much I played on Nightmare to "complete" it. Then, I got this PC version during a sale and recently thought that I wanted to play through it again because I never did the DLC or the mini-standalone game America Nightmare. I figured I would get my use out of this Steam version before doing the DLC and game on the Xbox 360.

That said, I still consider this one of my favorite games of this generation bar none. I know some people don't care for it, but I really enjoyed the story, atmosphere, and gameplay.

My thoughts on the game itself are pretty much in keeping with those of George McBain. It's one of my favourites. It's not often you see a game with such a tightly-paced narrative that has the gameplay to match it. Some say it's repetative, but I never felt that was a problem. Wouldn't have played through it so many times if I had.

I played through the base game once on Xbox and I purposely purchased it on PC for another round plus enjoy the perks of free DLC.

I'm replaying it right now <3 Noticing things i didn't before, takin g my time and loving it. It's still just as amazing as the first play through.... then again, i am obsessed with this amazing game.... <3

If you really liked this game and ant to "replay" it i would suggest "Twin Peaks" to you. A lot of parallels in the stories...

do a better gameplay... search areas, enjoy the visuals, walk instead driving(if safety).

Yeah, I like to replay this game. I have mostly played it on console and played it through like twice.

There is developer commentary for this game on Xbox 360. If it is on PC, it would probably be fun to replay with the developer commentary going.

its worth at least a second trip through on nightmare to get the rest of the manuscript pages.

Edit: I finished my nightmare play through and I still love the game as much if not more than before.

Yeah, the developer commentary is available on PC, and is rather interesting if you like that sort of thing.
