Any way to aim a gun without focusing your flashlight with M+KB?

I know back when I played this on xbox I could aim my gun without having to drain battery from focusing on the controller by only slightly holding the trigger instead of pressing it down like usual. Since a mouse acts more like a switch instead of a like a trigger I was wondering if there was any way of only aiming instead of focusing.

I started the game for the 1st time today, and simply aim the enemy with the mouse. It doesn't Focus the flashlight as long as you don't hold the Right mouse button.

What I am talking about allows you to aim from directly behind the shoulder. I don't think doing nothing does that.

No you can't, and it's useless anyway.

Since it has the same effect, by not aiming at all.

Just think of your flashlight as a crosshair.
