You play KOTH? Wasteland? BP? Time to upgrade from JV to Varsity
If you want to experience how arma was meant to be played try out CTI missions. BECTI Warfare - Seattle, WA is a US based CTI server that's typically hosting 30-49 people each evening. You can use every vehicle in the game, no vehicles are nerfed (no removing of thermals, guided missile systems, etc), you can build HUGE elaborate bases for your team (if you're into that), and you can also have a squad of AI at your command. The goal is to capture towns OR destroy the enemy bases (which are controlled by players). The community on that server is awesome; for the most part, everyone communicates and works together as a team. The better you work as a team the more towns you can take and the more money you can make (which allows you to purchase gear, vehicles, team upgrades, and strutures).
It's probably the most difficult game mode to learn but I have yet to find a mission that uses every facet of technology that Arma has to offer. The mission even adds tech that BIS SHOULD have added in a future era. Things like tactical glasses (which feed realtime data of enemy positions when you're wearing them), TROPHY system which protects armor from missile attacks, ability to load cargo/vehicles into helicopters and eject out the back w/giant parachutes(as well as an advanced airlifting array), RADAR system that shows where enemy aircraft are and where mortar fire is coming from, and ability to load static MG/GMG/AT/AA/Mortars into the back of offroads and fire them while they move.
Like I said, there's a ton that the mission does but as long as you show up humble and ask for help, people are very receptive to showing newbies how to play.

PS There is a heavy mature admin presence, if you don't behave expect the ban hammer.

Thanks, see you on there!
