Is this game too realistic/intense to be playable?

I can't decide on whether to buy this game or not. I know it souds a bit pathetic, but after watching videos on youtube of the game, all I can notice is how hardcore people go with all the concepts. I could put it as if Arma is too good to be played.. I love games with ultra realism and that professional kind of style to it, however doesn't Arma go way to far with that?

Maybe i'm overreacting, but if anyone can persuade me that I wont find this game too intense, i'll be very tempted to buy it!

it is a military simulation game, depending on what missions/mods you use, yes it can be very realistic. but if your worried about say, you shooting a guy and his head pops off, or limb pops off and blood squirting everywhere, then no, i would think it would be safe to say its not like that. there is some ragdoll effects and physics to it, and yes there are mods out there to give it more gore, but base arma 3 game, no.
