How would a dev build help preformance? Did they fix it in this patch?

Are you talking multiplayer or single player performance? I never play multi but single player missions seem to be running way better than they were in Alpha.

Single I always stay above 30 fps. Multiplayer I can drop to low 20s

Ya you should be getting really good FPS on high on single player for sure. As far as I know multiplayer lag in this game is just from having to wait on the server to catch up running scripts and stuff and thats why it can get crappy. Definitely try the dev build though as its getting much more frequent updates, and one recent one has helped alot with improving performance when theres alot of AI.

You said you were getting 40 on UItra in heavy situations. Thats not bad at all. Have you tried lowering the draw distance? That helps alot.

Yup. doesnt help what so ever. Lowering the ratio down to 50% (Not resoloution) Hits me to 60+ all the time

Even if you lower it all the way? How many meters do you have it set to?

Minimum is 500. Set it to that. Really didnt help
dark_nanos 21 sep, 2013 @ 13:46
I'd say just lower it to high settings then. It barely looks worse.

Ill try that

Ill just wait till they fix preformance

for me, lowering the draw distance was the biggest factor to better FPS. When I autodetect, it sets it onto ultra, but ill get 15-20 fps is certain situations which is not playable for my system(http://valid.canardpc.com/2900882). after keeping the 'ultra' setting I rediced my draw distance to where i was pulling AT LEAST 45 fps consistantly seems to me the best compromise of performance to graphics.
