Could not launch it after restoring backups and even repairing the game through verifying the integrity of cache.
Somehow it fixed itself later, though.
+
2. cut arma3.exe and paste in backup folder
3. paste the performance.exe in arma directory, make sure you rename it to arma3.exe, same as the .exe you just removed.
4. rename the new Malloc's so they dont conflict with your current malloc dlls (add a number on the end or something)
5. paste new malloc dll's in Dll folder inside arma directory
6. launch arma 3's launcher
7. click parameters tab, change from basic to advanced options
8. locate the Malloc checkbox and click it.
9. paste the name of your new malloc file in the text box, (path not required automatically detected)
there are 2 malloc files so you can try with both of them to see which one works better for u, or choose to make your own.
*Edit*
New Mallocs are no longer in the download and are included ingame now.
Steps 4-9 are only required for users applying custom mallocs
which malloc work with you?
i ahve i5 3570k + r9 280x 3gb and 8 giga ram 1600hz corsair vengeace so wich one better for me?
Did pretty much the same, but did not specify malloc path. It appears that it used the default malloc.
Will try forcing to use specific malloc and see if perfomance improves.
For me personally i didnt see any real change with the malloc so i just went back to default on that one, but im still using the performance exe and it seems to help.
