v06 PERFORMANCE client (1.92.145735)
to get the binary (1.92.145735) of performance v04 server&client Windows / Linux server
BIForum feedback: https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/160288-arma-3-stable-server-190-performance-binary-feedback/?do=getLastComment
Discord feedback: https://discord.gg/arma

you need to replace arma3.exe (do backup 1st) with the performance exe from .7z archive
same goes about new allocator library

note: if you don't know how replace files then sorry, this is only for those who can do it
or you can switch STEAM branch from STABLE to PROFILING, read
https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Steam_Branches#Arma_3
http://dev.arma3.com/post/sitrep-00088

INTERNAL > PROFILING/PERFORMANCE > DEV > RC > STABLE
that's how 'features' are passed thru various branches before they reach stable build

STABLE and PROFILING (PERFORMANCE) branches are MP compatible
DEV branch isn't MP compatible with STABLE nor RC branch
RC branch isn't MP compatible with STABLE nor DEV branch

PROFILING branch is experimental, optional and built when needed

RC (release candidate branch) is available 1-3 weeks before new STABLE

after STABLE is released, DEV branch major number increase accordingly

STABLE builds use even number for major build
DEV builds use odd number for major build

Crashed, entirely broke Arma 3.
Could not launch it after restoring backups and even repairing the game through verifying the integrity of cache.

Somehow it fixed itself later, though.

Go on then, and explain me step by step how to do it right.
Hortzy Sep 9, 2015 @ 6:38pm
1. create backup folder
2. cut arma3.exe and paste in backup folder
3. paste the performance.exe in arma directory, make sure you rename it to arma3.exe, same as the .exe you just removed.
4. rename the new Malloc's so they dont conflict with your current malloc dlls (add a number on the end or something)
5. paste new malloc dll's in Dll folder inside arma directory
6. launch arma 3's launcher
7. click parameters tab, change from basic to advanced options
8. locate the Malloc checkbox and click it.
9. paste the name of your new malloc file in the text box, (path not required automatically detected)

there are 2 malloc files so you can try with both of them to see which one works better for u, or choose to make your own.

*Edit*
New Mallocs are no longer in the download and are included ingame now.
Steps 4-9 are only required for users applying custom mallocs

Did pretty much the same, but did not specify malloc path. It appears that it used the default malloc.
Will try forcing to use specific malloc and see if perfomance improves.

For me personally i didnt see any real change with the malloc so i just went back to default on that one, but im still using the performance exe and it seems to help.
