Arma 3

Super Realistic Mod
I was thinking of a really realistic mod, which I've yet to see in Arma.

Where if you were wounded, you would have to be shipped back to base or a hospital in order to survive. And if you got into a hopital, your character would stay there and be wounded, but you would get a new guy to play with. The point in this would be, that there would be a pool of lives on either side of the fighting, and if you lost a guy, one life would be removed from the entire pool of the army. But if you got a guy into a hoispital in time, no life would be removed.

Also, making tanks etc would not be built in a few minutes like it is in bennys mod etc, but you would have a pool of tanks etc, which you could deplete by wasting them. Maybe you would get more for an army in some ways, but it would counter the way people use vehicles, that they wouldn't just leave them around the battlefield or kamikaze them etc.

I don't know what else this mod would need, but maybe you have some ideas. I would love a really realistic mod so that people would really have to plan things, adn not rush things, and the best team would win.

Interesting. This would give a medic (not combat) role which you shouldn't shoot at all... Who just help the wounded to get back. Don't know if this "don't shoot the medic" is a legend or a real thing in real wars.

Unarmed medics are actually protected by the Geneva conventions I believe. This does seem interesting though!

One question. Could you kill a person "fully" when even the hospital can't even help, or it would be like a timer thing when you are dead and if you are lucky you are brought back to base by a medic? What if someone loses all their lives?

For me I think a shot in the head would be fatal, if no helmet would be on, or getting totally swiss cheeced by bullets, or heavy explosives.

If you'd have a medi helo, one could stabilize certain wounds on casualties while they would ship them over to a hospital. And once you got there, you could respawn.

I think having a base fulled with the vehicles you could use wouldn't work, since someone would come up and blow them up, but maybe just having a counter as to how many vehicles all in all one side could use would work. And you'd need to be certain profession to use them or something, to limit eveyrone just wasting vehicles.

The side that loses all it's lives would lose the war, and one could capture towns to gain certain benefits maybe.

I think there should be a mandatory 1 year training mission (real world time). If you forget to boot up Arma 5 o clock in the morning you will have to use the push-up controller (mandatory peripheral) for 2-3 hours. You should also be required to play sitting outside in the rain and snow with you feet in a bucket of mud.

And what would that be without a drill sergeant mod automatically turning your pc on in the morning and screaming at you.

You should also be able to plug your coffee machine and over into it so you'd at least get the benefits of a ready made breakfast.

But in all seriousness, a lot could be done to counter the craziness in Arma 3 with some of these suggestions, and also to make it mroe awesome to play as a full squadron.

You fellers should check out the CSE medical mod, aint perfect but close to what u described, could even set up so badly wounded do need to be pulled back behind lines to a "field hospital" if u wanted.

Getting shot and not being able to play the game for 6 months sounds like a great mod idea!
Or even better, if you die in the game, you die in real life.
