so....my guy has parkinsons disease and asthma?
run for 10 secs...needs a wheelchair....shaky hands so i cant aim even when lying down holding breath....

Overtuned fatigue and weaponsway.

Dont make it under powered or useless just fix it a bit.

Are you running or sprinting? Gun raised? How much gear you carrying?

Sprinting - as in using Shift while moving - is the sort of thing you should only use when not using it is guaranteed to kill you (like madly dashing for cover when someone's shooting at you or to get away from a grenade). Lowering your weapon with double-tap left CTRL will consume less stamina when moving between combat zones than covering that distance with your weapon raised. And, of course, how much stuff you're lugging around affects it as well.

Lots of people complaining about stamina / fatigue (-: hints & tips :-)
Here are a few tips just in case you didn't know...

1. Lower your weapon (double tap left CTRL) then hold it with one hand (press C) and you will be able to tab across the landscape for as long as you like.
2. To gain stamina while on the move press (W+S) and walk for a while and your stamina will slowly rise.
3. Sometimes it is quicker to go around a hill than over it so read the topography on the map (M) as contours effect stamina.
4. Only sprint in an emergency to find cover.
5. Rest before engaging long range targets.
6. If you are carrying a heavy load, remove backpack & launcher while fighting (remember where you put it and don't forget to pick it up again afterwards lol)
7. Take your time, war is like a game of chess and shouldn't be rushed. (unless you want to lose)

Hope this helps you enjoy the fatigue system :-)

Great tips. I wasn't actually aware that lowering the weapon had any in-game affects.

im doing everything correctly...i just this the weapon sway and the fatigue are set a little to aggressively, The standing weapon sway is far too high and the fatigue need to be re adjusted slightly.

i never really use sprint only as you said and generally keep my weapon lowered when moving.

Also im playing simple rifleman,no launcher no pack, no vest simply uniform + clothing and rifle with 7 mags. 2 smoke and 2 he grenade.

Oh? You try running with 50-100 pounds on your back for about a few hundred feet, then try to aim at something.
Warfreak Aug 13, 2014 @ 9:14am
dont hate it too much, as the guy said above carrying that much weight would be bad, however thats why soilders train to carry this equipment. maybe they could add speed walking, a fast pace walk that is a fair speed moving but doesnt affect stamina so much. one thing i do hate is the aiming problem u get when tired, my aim is all over the place, but when AI run a long distence and shoot at me there always dead on with there shots and drop me. i think the aiming needs to be fixed and balence the AI reciving damge, aiming after running and damage they inflict on me. i shoot them 4-5 times they shoot me 1-2 am dead.

In reality a royal marines commando carries approximatly 21-30 pounds + a rifle.

Just to enlighten you. :)

Sorry but i,m still finding fully rested laying prone. Still way to much sway looking through a scope. And i,m also finding that holding my breath does nothing to very little as well. Everything else about the fatigue system i,m 100% on board with.
Paulie Aug 13, 2014 @ 10:27am
the sway when perfectly rested is my main problem with the bootcamp update... its way too much, I can understand it being more extreme when fatigued, that was in Arma2, I got used to that... I'm untrained with firearms, I have held them before, and I KNOW at full stand I can hold a rifle alot more steady than the current rested Arma 3 Player. this is not realism, this is exaggerated realism.

Completely wrong!

During training, the guys carry 80 pounds + rifle

What do you take with you on missions?
Everything! There is no-one to provide you with anything you have left behind! We carry our kit in a pack called a Bergen, which can weigh 35-45kg. As well as that, we have our weapons and ammunition to carry with us on exercise and on operations. We have to carry this over all types of terrain in conditions from the Arctic to the desert – often for up to 25km a day.

Simple research suffices.

OP, I would not try to persuade anyone about how the game is wrong about something.

Because this game is played mainly by nolifers who know nothing about guns, realism etc..

They do not even know that all Arma games without mods /such as ACE etc/ can not be called a simulator by any way.

I am a member on some forums about military history, guns etc because it is something like my hobby and you would be surprised how these pros laugh about Arma and its "realism".

this is for training, in the field the average carry weight is a 30 pound pack with rifle and ammo.

Scopes don't augment your ability to aim a weapon they just give you a better/closer view of the target.

The weapon sway stays the same regardless of which scope your using. Using a scope doesn't just magnify your vision but every movement of the weapon too.

If your using a x4 scope then sway will look 4x worse and if you use a x75 power scope then it will magnify the sway by 75, however it is not actually moving any further than if you were using iron sights.
