Xbox Controller problems

I got a new wired xbox controller and I played other games with it, but in Bastion im having problems:

When I try to attack with B it just doesnt work unless I keep RT pressed and to evade using A, I need to keep pressed both RT and LT.

Unless this is intended there is something wrong. Anyone can help me please?


Edit: I feel dumb, all I had to do was to unplug then plug my controller and its fixed.

This is not intended. Maybe you need to install the driver software for the xbox controller. I have one too. Plugged it in and 0 problems. Get it fixed though. This game is awesome fromt he couch.
