I have the same problem, the -nofixedstep parameter doesnt seem to fix it. Tryed to find an answer... If anyone knows how to fix this I'd love to know cuz I want to continue playing this game :(
Running Ubuntu 13.10 using proprietary fglrx drivers, and my system seems to be greater than the minimum specs.
openSUSE 12.3 64bit, AMD Penom II X4 955BE, Nvidia GTX 260 (propietrary drivers: 331.38)
Thx Devs for the Linux port. Great game.
I've started having exactly the same problem. The game worked smoothly some months ago and now I wanted to play it again but it freezes my computer completely and I have to do a hard reset to continue using it.
The only thing that has changed since then is the fglrx version. Could it be that the origin of the problem?
