How to fix Bastion Black Screen

Hey, I figured I'd share my Bastion black screen fix. I run a sli configuration with nvidia surround. What happens is that bastion despises multiple monitors. So you need to run it as a windowed game. You can do this as one of two ways.

1) Disable your multiple monitors, launch bastion, goto options > display > turn off full screen

2) Add -window by right clicking bastion > properties > set launch options > -windowed.
2.1) IF this still persists, try adding -w for width, you CAN add -h, but -w will determine height automatically.

Tried it and the windowed part worked but now have black screen in window(at least i can close the game with the x in the corner now)

try this i had the same problem .. something to do with resolution.. fixed it for me -windowed -x 1280 -y 720 hope it helps found it on another link on google :)

Dont know what to tell you rick, but yea, that's what i said with the 2.1 solution bright :P

I was having the problem with the black screen and what I found to work for me was simply changing my monitor's resolution. I'm running Windows 8 and had my resolution set at 1768x992... as soon as I changed the resolution to 1920x1080 (recommended by Windows), my graphics in Bastion returned to normal.

-windowed -x 1280 -y 720 worked for me as well. Seems Bastion only supports up to certain resolutions, and 3440x1440 is too much. I think 1920x1200 is the best it can do.

Just start the game in 650x480 (right-klick Properties etc..). Then you can set 1920x1200 in the ingame Optionsmenu. Close the game and deactivate 640x480. Now it will start without the blackscreen.
