Bastion xbox gamepad control issues (MAC)

Hey guys, when I try to use my game pad with this game movement gets stuck going left. So the character will just walk left unless I am actively controlling. Is anyone else having this issue? Of course when I play the game in Win 7 via boot camp it runs perfect. I use "Tattiebogle" is there a better way to get a game pad to work on mac.

I've been trying to get a Logitech Dual Action gamepad to work - it's detected by Bastion MAC, but the button mappings are totally screwed up. Am going to try to emulate the keyboard on the gamepad by using USB Overdrive and see how that goes.

If it works I'd like to try it. Would REALLY like to play this game, confused as to why it's this hard. Would've thought you plug in the controller and play- but the macbook apparently has other thoughts.

I shouldnt do this but..... Maybe its because you are on a Mac? Not to troll but the drivers are gonna be jacked on a Mac, Mac wasnt built for gaming it was built as a cash cow to offer you all the same things as linux at a higher price with less preformance, Saying that the rant is over, I dont know much about gaming on a mac but if there is a program like X-Padder you could set the controls manually

Just switch to PC. That is what I am in the process of doing for more reasons then no more gaming headaches. OSX is not the superior operating system anymore. They are too busy with maintaining the mobile empire. I am on Windows 7 via bootcamp and I just run CS6, Steam and Etc right here. I can troll because I use Macs. Windows has caught up to OSX. It is so stable now. I never thought I could pop in and out of After Effects, playing video games, watching HBO Go etc etc like nothing. Yet on the Mac Side I can't even get a game pad to register properly. My next machine will for sure be a Windows 8 monster. I paid like 4 grand for this Mac Pro in 08...I can't imagine what I could get specs wise in PC for that!

And these types of issues is just one more nail in the coffin for me to ditch my iMac. Good riddance to it.

According to here: http://store.steampowered.com/news/6096/ There's a Dead Zone parameter that will make your analogue stick less sensitive, and so won't have the "running left" problem.
I had the same issue on Linux and this fixed it.

The weird thing I've been coming up with is that (after 3 hours of gameplay with no issues whatsoever!) the game is suddenly registering that I'm ALWAYS pressing to the left when I use a 360 controller. It's made the game unplayable. I could play using a keyboard & mouse, but really preferred playing it with a controller in earlier levels, and have no interest in playing it all again with a keyboard. It's really dissappointing that there hasn't been any support for this issue!
