Nah, it's easy enough to make a pirate map farm and then a risk free pirate farm. Then you just get a lucky coin, a slime staff and a jungle ocean mix to make like 25 plat an hour.
lol! Yes please! :P
Ok ok, I guess it's not so bad. ;)
"Expert mode respawn time is stupid." <----Thread title...so yeah...it is.
If you think the timer is too long, don't play expert mode. It's meant to be harsher.
You like said "expert mode redrawn timer" expert mode itself is fin, havendied this much since my first hour playing :) Oh post planteria you've made me used to power.
Redrawn = auto correct.
Bui guess the simple solution is not dying.
It's just every enemy now does 30-70damage to you at the very beginning of the game and every wepaon except for the Starfury are completely ineffective against them...
Seriously, that's not challenging, that's stupid. Variety in games is fun, especially in terraria, but it's not variety, if the only viable weapon is the starfury.
That's not increasing difficulty, that's power creeping.
Enemies do more damage with their special attacks, and armor is twice as effective. It's really not that bad. Before you could just tank enemies in the face no problem until at least hard mode.
Armor actually became less effective, because it was buffed less than the enemy attacks.
It sounds nice at first, but it aint so much fun if all early-game weapons do 2-9dmg and player armor won't even start becoming somewhat effective until it's almost normalmode-endgame.
To me that's not challenging, but just tedous, when more than 3enemies with at least two different AI types attack you, you just gotta run, because the damage is ridiculous.
I have not defeated any bosses yet and I am still curious about Expert-Mode endgame, but so far it just seems like power creep to me.
I just wonder, if there was no Starfury, how the hell would people get anything done?
Maybe with a ruby/diamond staff, but otherwise...
A lot of it was perhaps to stop people from exploring the entire overworld in the first few days.
Just look at how the desert was buffed, it used to be no threat at all, now it's worse than jungle.
