Is better than at launch

Just what I wanted, microtransactions.

It's common knowledge BB3's launch was... problematic, to put it kindly. There were so many issues it's hard to know where to begin. I have dipped in and out in the intervening period (which is a lengthy period) to see what, if anything, has been fixed and I can happily report that the game is now playable and in a working state!
Match-wise everything seems to work well now, graphics are smoother and can play through match after match without any issues. That sounds positive enough, but it's also an indictment against the developer that it's not good enough to launch something people pay hard-earned money for that is, by all accounts, broken. I could wax lyrical about the sad state of game developers churning out half-finished todd and patching it to buggery after, but that point has been laboured to death.
Ultimately it is fixed now, but shows a miraculous lack of foresight and pride to release it as it was in the first place. You had to update the rules. That was largely it. Cyanide weren't tasked with reinventing the wheel, just putting a new tyre on it, and that was beyond them.
Now we can enjoy being drip-fed teams at a glacial pace and have to use in-game currency or REAL MONEY to acquire content that should be there in the first place. That leaves all kinds of bad tastes in my mouth.
If you love Blood Bowl and you want to play it online against people, you can now. And it's quite good. But ultimately it still isn't finished. Would I recommend it? At £24.99 it's cheaper than buying a team of minis for the table top, but I know which one I'd rather play.
