Reply 4 contains a link to a site that will do basic comparison of your machine spec against the game requirements.
Reply 1 also contains my 5 year old PC specs, which I've been running this game on with min settings. And last night I even turned up some detail level settings and didn't notice any performance drop using screensize 800x600.
I should also mention that there are some people who experience issues on Windows 7/8. I don't have those worries so won't pretend to be an expert so have a look at other threads (and even the guides) as help can be found there if needed.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Required You Have
"Video RAM; 256 MB 1.8 GB"
I'm not a wiz in computers, but I'm pretty sure that I can meet the minimum requirements even when the website says no.
EDIT;I checked on what other games I can't run.The website told me I can't even run Skyrim at minimum settings, yet I have the game and can run it at high settings...
It's also interesting what you say about Skyrim as that spec says it's needs a graphics card with 512MB or over. I've always steered clear of a game when it says it needs more than 256MB as I assumed my machine would not cope. Like you, I don't really understand the finer technicalities of game specs so maybe I should re-visit my wishlist to see if any games wanting 512MB+ cards are on sale that I could try !!
