It would make the issues on getting this game to work on my own more palatable.
I mean this game is old, and apparently there is no support. I mean I could buy through GOG and it will work and is supported currently. Honestly i already own through GOG but if the price was right Id buy it here for the heck of it. Thats the reason I bought Space quest.

These are just DOSBOX games right? Think maybe alittle personal patching might get them to work in Win7? Sounds plausible from what little I know. Sucks to have to, but still.

I'm not having issues with the game really. There is a bit of a bug where you will be in a dialogue scene and the screen will become super brightly pixelated like confetti almost. This happens a lot more later on in the game as you near the end. At least it does with KQ6.

There are times to blame steam, but this isn't one of them.
This game was probably supported, when it first came out in 2006. Likely not anymore.
Im just grateful that its still avaiable on steam, and would be more grateful if it was extremely cheaper.

If you got issues contact Activision. But likely their response is going to be no better.

Just to make sure you know this is the Kings Quest Collection 2006 that was originally released by Vivendi Universal. this version of KQ VII is the 1.4 version.

I'm slightly unnerved by the complaining too. Stuff like that gets things removed from Steam, and I'd really prefer Activision keep it available.

I just want it to stay long enough for it to be on sale so I can buy it just to say I have it officially on steam. I honestly don't care if it requires tweaking to get it to work. I own so many physical copies of this collection as well as the GOG versions.

Besides GOG currently only steam carries this series digitally officially.
