Make the Baphomet mission not accidentally skippable
I had assumed that super special Private mission was story-progression related so I didn't want to do it until I finished all the other 4 or 5 missions, because this game has a habbit of locking you out of things if you do the main missions. then, after doing the Offensive mission with CS:GO (the last one available besides Baphomet), whoops, mission's gone! so that's really lame, I honestly don't feel like playing through the entire extension again to get back to that point, it shouldn't disappear like that in the first place

apparently the 2nd part of the Clock requires that missions too so I'm screwed out of that :/ such a bummer

well besides the doom and gloom, it was a pretty fun experience anyway. felt like I was playing the main game for a lot of it

The reason it disappears is to prevent the player from doing both paths -- otherwise it leads to really confusing plot holes if the player could do both paths in the same playthrough, like how /el/ works in the base game.

Sorry, but I'm not changing that.

that was an entire alternate path? I thought that was just one mission >.> I was confused when it said there was an alternate path available at the end. furthermore when the "pls stop baphomet" mission showed up, it's not really made clear who Baphomet is or what they do, let alone what makes them dangerous, so it's like "...okay I guess, it's something to do". That group only gets mentioned a couple times previously and it's always cryptic

I hope it's obvious I'm not asking you to change that, I had no idea it was an alternate path to begin with because the mission description doesn't even hint towards that. I thought that was the mission you were supposed to take to advance the regular plot. So, I suggest that be made more clear

Ah, fair enough.

Agree with NeoReaper here. I assumed that accepting the Baphomet mission was going to trigger an irreversible faction-switch, in which case I should finish all of the side content on BRAP before accepting it.

Like NeoReaper, I had the Baphomet mission disappear just when I was intending to accept it.

It would make more sense if the Baphomet mission stayed available in the contract list, but the description in Sayonara CCB said something along the lines of "accepting this mission will preclude accepting any private contracts". So at that point, you can decide which path to go down. If the player accepts Sayonara, then go ahead and remove Baphomet from the contract list. If they accept Baphomet, remove Sayonara.

I just encountered this too. Slightly disappointed. I wanted to take the Baphomet path the first time around but I guess I'll just skip straight to the path once I replay this again.

But like direvus pointed out, once I go down Baphomet, will I be able to do some of the missions from BRAP? One of the clock parts is from the car mission and I kinda feel like I don't want to miss that

It puts you down a path that misses any BRAP missions that you have yet to complete. To that end, completion of the clock puzzle is missable if not doing the extension in a specific order. It is, admittedly, not very well designed :(

yall just gonna necro a 6 year old thread

I straight up don't even remember this game's plot anymore so I have no idea if I posted a good take or not

Much appreciated for your answer. I'll test out a theory first before I accept the mission.

I thought it'd be like in the main game where you can still tackle CSEC missions before opening the final mission.

Thanks!
