Suggestion: Using SKYUI for auto-clearing the left hand.
Hi, first of all thanks for the mod, makes Skyrim so much better.

I've finally found a solution to the age-old problem of not being able to clear the left hand without going to the fav menu (or, even worse in my opinion, carrying a hide shield and double tapping its hotkey). I like playing a ranger-type (bow and 1h sword, plus alteration and healing spells), and it bothered me to no end that I had to manually clear the left hand so I could actually "parry" (I know vanilla 1h blocking sucks, but I have a mod to improve it).

First I tried to just set group 1 to clear hands before equiping and then binding it to the same slot as the item I want to single-wield. This doesn't work, as the command to clear both hands comes after the command to equip the weapon.

I also tried just remapping the groups to 1-8, and while this works great (as long as you don't bind anything using the vanilla method), I don't really like having to set up new groups everytime I get a new weapon (I'm sort of an upgrade maniac).

So I setteled to binding groups to 3-0, and left group 1 empty. This allows me to clear my hands by pressing 3, and I can still use nifty spell combos on the remaining slots. It works pretty great as long as I don't press the keybinds in quick succession.

It ocurred to me that you could probably just add a script to each quickslot keybind (1-8), to automatically clear the left hand, with an option in the menu to toggle the feature for each key. This would easily allow one to set up a key for single-wielding without screwing up the possibility of combining spell/weapon combos.

I do not, however, know enough about scripting to create this myself. Do you think it would be a good addition to SkyUI? Or is anyone experienced and interested enough in this idea to create such a mod? Or even better, does anything like this already exist? (my googling always returns lots of mods to auto-unequip arrows and helmets and many other parts, but nothing for just the left hand).
