I've considered switching Paths to be a 'bounce mod', where you launch the mod and it kicks you back to the menu, but the mod is then 'running'. From what I remember, bounce mods aren't as reliable for multiplayer? It's been a long time since I made that change. It was a bounce mod originally.
I may change it someday. I just don't want to change it then find out a bunch of other problems.
And I think changing it would require everyone to make new characters, or port their characters over, which always sucks.
