Yes, you do put something els with it! "The Space Core can be taken to the Atronach Forge in The Midden and placed on the pedestal to power the forge. If an ingot of Refined Moonstone (or a piece of Moonstone Ore) and an Iron Helmet are placed in the offering box, a Dovahcore Helmet will be created. The Dovahcore Helmet can then be improved at the workbench through Smithing by characters with the Arcane Blacksmith perk using a Moonstone Ingot."

So far i found him in the same place with all 3 character i started. Only I didn't know what to do with it. It just satyed in my inventory. I didn't want to sell it even though it was salable. Now I know to do, great, thanks for the info.

where do you find the core i know it has NOTHING to do with what to do with it but where do you find it?

A burned down house near the tower near Whiterun, where you fight your first dragon.

Thank's so much for that. for a while now I've been carting him around, now he can work for his lodgings, he, he!!!!!

It's also entirely possible to launch him back into space
drop him from your inventory then 'grab' him and raise him above your head, equip a master level spell (lightning works) and cast it while looking up. It should launch him

One thing though: Why would anyone kill the space core in order to get a helmet? He's too awesome!!!

Because it takes up weight and doesn't do anything...

Using him in the Forge doesn't kill him.

I set him next to the Talos Zealot in White Run, along with the Guitar Bear and anything else (Like Nirnroot) that I can think of to drown out the incessant rant. Hey, I like Talos as much as the next guy, but that guy has been screaming about "LOVE" and crap for years now.
