Shields acting strange to me
Hello,

Great job. When I spawn shields they either drop on the ground (when I add them off field) or are lifted above the base when I spawn them on the playing area.

Unfortunatly I couldn't add a screenshot here ...

I have the same issue. If you find a solution please let us know :)

the shields actually fall to the ground? what do you mean "add them off field"? Are you unlocking them?

You have to spawn them after ship placement, and can never unlock them. Ships cannot be moved manually.

Yes, I have done this. Placed the ship on the field and then spawned the shields. Either they fall on the ground or laying on the base instead under the base.

I will try to replicate the issue

having the same issue with some shields on ships being lifted above the base.

if you ctrl+click the shields and delete them, and spawn them again... do they still pop above the base?
Okay, I think I know how to clear this up. There isn't actually an issue with the shields. I believe the reason they are flying off is beause they are either not locked in place, OR, you are not moving the ships using the movement stick.

Hello,
I havn't moved the ship. I place it in place, then spawn the shields. I also have locked the ship manually before but it is happening.

Cold it be that that the gap between the shipbase and the shild is a little to small? He brings the shields to the right plave via script but after placing them on the right spot the shield tokens lift above the base...

I have the same issue.

If I spawn shields while the ship is still on the card, the shields fall to the ground (but will still move with the ship when using the movement stick, so it works, even if it doesn't look perfect)

If I manually move the ship off of the card (e.g. to place it in its starting position) and then spawn shields, the shields pop up over the ship base. I suppose this is because the ship is slightly lower, causing a collision between the shield dial and the ship base.

Locking the ship after moving it from the card but before spawning the shields makes the shields align correctly (only tested with lock and semi-lock settings)

I developed it using full physics. I never have this problem.

You need full physics for the command dials to work anyways.

Try with full physics? Any difference in behaviors?

I'm still havin some issues with this, for some reason. The shields fly in and then move up, getting all wonky. Happens both when I host or play single player. See image below for the resulting problem. Full physics is turned on.

If I lock the ship model after placement, and then trigger shields, it works better. But you can still see them crooked at an angle. This is playable, but not elegant.

switching to full physics seemed to fix my issue, where some of the shield dials are still a bit funny, but at least they are below the ship cardboard now

This should be entirely fixed in the last update!
