How do you set shields to 0?

Once you attach them to a ship you can set them to 1-9, but there's strangely no zero? Any ideas?

The http://imgur.com/a/SML3E tutorial says that 7, 8, 9 are zero.

Unfortunately it is a limit of Tabletop. There isn't a "0" state.
