Edit: Tested, once again, on a clear GMOD install, with just CW 2.0 & the addon - it, now, crashes directly upon loading the map near-instantly, not even moving this time.
Just to ensure that probably the workshop version's the only troublesome, I tried the github version - both master & dev, yet with absolutely same results.
It, however, dumps a crash log - if it may possibly help to detect/find the issue, I'm willing to send it.
EDIT: Just removed sh_content_check.lua but to no avail.
I did, but he says he's too busy IRL to bother at the moment.
After deciding to give a few more tries, here's what I ended up with:
First few tries - crash.
First try - I spawn directly on the floor, not moving (Compared to other times, I always spawn atleast slightly floating, somehow)
First thing I notice upon trying to equip a weapon from the addon is a major spam from the weapon base:
Image of LUA error[puu.sh]
For reference, I didn't had this error prior in my previous testing, so I'm assuming it's related to the new GMOD update itself.
From here, issues began arrising:
Issue #1 - Sight Stencils that relied on coloring don't seem to have their colors set correctly - all variants that could have their color changed were, more or less, 80-90% whitened[puu.sh]
Issue #2 - Particle attachments don't function correctly, case & point - Molotov's Flame attachment persists even after throwing it & switching weapons[puu.sh]
Issue #3 - There seems to be rendering issues, by which I mean bodygroups don't properly get set up - revolvers being example of which[puu.sh]
Issue #4 - Animations seem to be broken - not all animations are played in their proper time, or at all - current example being of any weapon that has a Bipod, deploy/withdrawal animations aren't played at all[puu.sh]
Issue #4, Img #2[puu.sh]
During this attempt, I decided to finally just toss a Professional Russian (suffering the same issues as the molotov) into a wall & my game crashed.
After a few tries, I repeated everything (And I also unbound my movement keys, just to ensure I don't ♥♥♥♥ up) - I decided to finally take a step, for once, and...
I didn't crash! The content check message appeared![puu.sh]
It isn't even related with the content check, it seems!
Now that I could move without crashing, I decided to see what happens now:
Issue #5 - actual rendering issues, all weapon viewmodels disappear whenever I try to walk, and if I try to sprint - the sprinting animation isn't played, however I had the CW 2.0 default viewbob enabled, so it kinda compensated (but the weapons didn't get lowered)[puu.sh]
Issue #5, IMG #2 - showcase of sprinting in action[puu.sh]
Sometimes the Customization menu would also break, in terms of coloring, but it got fixed as soon as it got redeployed:
Image[puu.sh]
Issue #6 - Rig-options didn't work, it returned to the default "Your Very Individual" ones[puu.sh]
Issue #7 - related to Issue #5 with walking/moving, animations can be stopped on spot if you try doing any movement that isn't sprinting/jumping/crouching, in this case - allowing to delay reload animation[puu.sh]
Final thing, which I am not sure if it's a current issue, or just a "feature, but
Issue #8 - Knives push back enemies now, if the hit isn't a death blow[puu.sh]
The issue, however, seems bizarre with the crashes, and persists - it isn't tied to, what my previous statement said, the content check.
Thank you for your dedication & creating this mod.
