This guide will help you obtain all additional weapons and items in MediEvil: Hero of Gallowmere. This guide won’t spoil the main quest and it’s puzzles. It's still in [w.i.p] state



Chalice of Souls
Requires item: -
Required to obtain items: Automatic Crossbow, Long Sword

Description: This item is quite important, as it will allow you to catch souls- both “lesser” and “powerful” ones. Lesser souls can be used later in the normal Skyrim playthrough to charge your Soul Stones for enchantments and recharging weapons. Chalice is also required to complete puzzles/quests for Automatic Crossbow and Long Sword.

How to obtain: You will find this item in the Old Crypt in an early parts of the graveyard, near the Angel Statue. The doors are locked, but you can unlock them by using the Angel Statue. Activate the fire pit so the Angel is facing the doors of the Old Crypt. The doors should be unlocked now. Go inside. You will notice that there are chains blocking your path. Behind that chain there is a gate that is locked. Destroy all the chains (hit them), and the gates should open and you will have a free path to the Chalice of Souls, located at the end of that small hallway.



Powerful Soul x2
Requires Item: Chalice of Souls, Cursed Club - only for one of them
Required to obtain item: Automatic Crossbow, Long Sword

Description: Item used as an offering for the statues of long deceased heroes. After making the offering, the spirits of those heroes will reward you with new weapon.

How to obtain: There are two ways:
1) You can get this item after completing the quest in an early parts of the graveyard, near the Angel Statue. The quest is hinted by the Grandpa Skeleton in that area. First, activate the fire pit so the Angel Statue faces the opposite direction to the Old Crypt. This should open the gates to the small arena. Go there. In that area, you should find “branches” lying on the ground here and there. Collect 3 of them and activate the a campfire that is located in the middle of the location. Prepare for battle. Two Spriggans should attack you. Defeat them, and if you have Chalice of Souls, you will receive “Powerful Soul”.

2) This one requires you to have Cursed Club. Go to the Witches Coven- a small dungeon in the later part of the graveyard. You can find it in the spider infested area of the forest around the Hilltop Mausoleum. In that area, you will find a sign that tells ”Of great archaeological Interest. Move the boulder and plunder the valuable treasures within”. Right next to it, there is a boulder you can activate. Do it, and the entrance to the Witches Coven will be revealed. Inside, find a bookshelf and activate it. It will reveal a hidden part of the Coven. Equip the Cursed Club and hit the fire pit with the blue fire in it. Your Club will start burning (for a limited time). Quickly go outside the Witches Coven and hit the fire pits (with regular fire) with your burning club. Now you can repeat the process to spread the blue flame to other fire pits. Your goal is to hit the Cursed Tree with that flame. Cursed Tree is located near the road to the Hilltop Mausoleum, and you can recognize it by the human skulls imbued into it and that it’s glowing with blue light. Hit that tree with the burning Cursed Club and it will break it’s curse and free the souls locked inside of it. But! Some of those souls will attack you. Defeat them, and if you have Chalice of Souls in your possession, you will be rewarded with Powerful Soul.



Automatic Crossbow
Requires Item: Chalice of Souls, Powerful Soul
Required to obtain item: -

Description: The Automatic Crossbow is... well... automatic. It will automatically shoot projectiles as long as you keep the fire button pressed or until emptying the magazine.

How to obtain: You can get it from Canny Tim statue, located in the early part of the graveyard (right after the Angel Statue puzzle). If you possess the Powerful Soul, then you will be able to offer it on the altar. If you do that, the spirit of Canny Tim will speak to you and give you the Automatic Crossbow.



Long Sword
Requires Item: Chalice of Souls, Powerful Soul
Required to obtain item: -

Description: Long Sword is a powerful melee weapon. Using a special ability called “change grip” will allow you to use it as a one-handed or two-handed weapon.

How to obtain: You can get it from Woden the Mighty statue, located in the later part of the graveyard. It’s located near the main path to the Hilltop Mausoleum, right before the encounter with Zarok’s Gargoyles. If you possess the Powerful Soul, then you will be able to offer it on the altar. If you do that, the spirit of Woden will speak to you and give you the Long Sword.



Cursed Club
Requires Item: -
Required to obtain item: Powerful Soul x1, Witches Talisman

Description: Cursed Club is a melee weapon of the mace type. It has the ability to transport the witch fire. SImply hit the fire pit with blue flame, and the club will start burning for limited time. Weapon deals additional magic damage while burning.

How to obtain: You can find it in later part of the graveyard. While entering the forest around the Hilltop Mausoleum, turn right right after the gate with two Gargoyles and Zombie Girl. You should see a Twisted Tree right in front of you. Approach it, and you will see a skeleton of Old Witch interpenetrated with it. If you will get a little closer, you will have the ability to break a part of that tree, and ta da! you have the Cursed Club!



Hammer
Requires Item: -
Required to obtain item: -

Description: Hammer is a powerful, two-handed melee weapon

How to obtain: After defeating the final boss, go back to the room where Phantom of the Opera was playing organs. You will notice that on one of the wall there is a pink ring signaling you can use rune on it. Equip your Chalk and Rune Schematics and hit it, and it will reveal the Hammer.



Zarok’s Trident
Requires Item: -
Required to obtain item: -

Description: Zarok’s Trident is a powerful staff, dealing from 8 to 50 magic damage per second depending on user level. It will also resurrect any enemy killed with it as your minion.

How to obtain: After defeating the final boss, go back to the early part of the graveyard. You will find a Trivia Note near the broken bridge and Canny Tim statue ( not far from Angel Statue). You will find Zarok’s Trident right next to that Trivia Note.


MediEvil 2 book
Requires Item: Cursed Club
Required to obtain item: Silver Shield

Description: Contains a story of MediEvil 2 game.

How to obtain: Go to the Witches Coven- a small dungeon in the later part of the graveyard. You can find it in the spider infested area of the forest around the Hilltop Mausoleum. In that area, you will find a sign that tells ”Of great archaeological Interest. Move the boulder and plunder the valuable treasures within”. Right next to it, there is a boulder you can activate. Do it, and the entrance to the Witches Coven will be revealed. Inside, find a bookshelf and activate it. It will reveal a hidden part of the Coven. Equip the Cursed Club and hit the fire pit with the blue fire in it. Your Club will start burning (for a limited time). Quickly go to the other room in the coven, the one containing an empty fire pit and hit it with your burning Club. You will be ambushed by very strong enemies (a tip how to beat is at the end of this paragraph). After the fight, the now opened (vertical) sarcophaguses will reveal a small room with an unholy altar in the middle and 4 books on the pedestals (two on the right and two on the left from the entrance). One of the books is called “Necronomi-something”. Activate it. You will hear a demonic laughter. When it ends, check the book again. It should be named “MediEvil 2” now. Pick it up.

Defeating the ambush: The enemies are very strong and hit very hard, but are actually very weak against magic. Ofc, Sid Dan doesn’t know any offensive spells, so you might think you are f-ed. In reality, you have a perfect weapon to fight them- Cursed Club. Normally, it does only a some physical damage, but when it’s burning, it does a high amount of additional magic damage. Just hit enemies few times with your Club, and when it burns out, replenish the fire by hitting the fire pit and continue whaling on the enemies.



Silver Shield
Requires Item: MediEvil 2 book
Required to obtain item: -

Description: A powerful shield that grants magic resistance on block.

How to obtain: In the End of TIme, after beating the Stained Glass Demon, give the MediEvil 2 book to the Old Man, and he will give you the Silver Shield.
