The Forgotten City

I hybridized the ending....a little....sort of....
WARNING SPOILERS:

After getting one of the many bad endings (killed the Jarl) I thought about seeing if the Arbiter was still down at the Dwarven Dome to convince him to terminate the law, rewarping me to the good ending. Even had Altrius follow me (odd he didn't die from the radiation)

With a high speech skill I was able to convince the Arbiter the folly of his law, and in a blinding flash of light I was staring at that statue and turned to see if Altrius was still behind me.
He wasn't, infact he'd buggered off from the game. Whoops.

I continued to leave towards the surface; no bumping into any folks mining or talks about the 'new Jarl' except remains of those magic anomolies you fight on the way down here.

Outside, the city is still desolate but the sky is in full view. The doors are all still sealed save the Citadel and the entrance to the city;

Where the lift has appeared just like the good ending, only it's also still being cascaded with water from above.

I rejoined Cassia who then said nothing as I had no lost brother to show her. No reward (DAMN) but it triggered the ending of the quest. Damnit Altrius.

Oh and two journals spawned being both the good and bad variant of what the city came to be.

Lols.

My thoughts and feels about this mod:

Hands down has to be the best mod I've tried so far. The good ending literally had me beaming from ear to ear when I found out who the new Jarl was (concerning I listened to their emotional backstory). The voice acting and music is superb and overall plotline although not incredibly intricate (doesn't have to be!) is clever, it gets you thinking.

Plus if you screw up, you can keep going back in time. ;)

Perhaps the only downside is, unless you really don't want to or need to you may need to re-do some mini quests in order to fill in the clues, but its also good in that even when you do go back in a loop any items from your previous 'attempt' is remembered as it would and you can still move forward with the quest. E.g Gave Habiq his ring back? If the Dwarves Law is triggered, get it back off his corpse, and give it to him again in the new attempt. Good way to get some extra cash without having to do the whole quest again. Uh, that is, if you want.

I also find it quite humorous looking back for example; with the immaculate armour, you could be looping in time every time re-introducing yourself to NPCs again getting a peice of the armour set, triggering the Dwarves' Law (somehow or if you listen to the flipping Jarl) relooping, re-introducing, more clues, more exploration to the point you just exit that Lakehouse, completely ignore Gulvar and march straight down to the Arbiter.....

I also got my character quite rich. ;) The time portal does have it's benefits for more than just re-saving lives.

If you read all this, I salute you. Tis but the mumblings of a veteran khajiit warrior who only meant to find a lost Imperial boy.

I also meant to say if you guys have already discovered this little hybrid ending (don't know how else to explain that) then apologies as I'm probably repeating what's already known and I've just joined the forums. HALLO!

You probably won't see this now, but that ending is definitely not supposed to be possible - when you first go into the city and try entering the tunnels, there's just a cave-in in front of you.
