Maybe re-load your previous save and try again? It worked for me when I did this quest.

Nope just tryed it and it dind work

I have gotten into the well but as soon as i go into the water and travel a bit the game crashes HELP

If the well won't load you into the next area then it is most likely the conflict with the Static Mesh Improvement Mod mentioned in the other discussions. If you do not have SMIS activated and are still having the problem I can look further into it

@jeff, This is the first crash I have heard of. I would look at other possible causes first since nobody else has mentioned a crash

I had SMIS active but i disabled it and it still won't work.

Rats! For so long disabling SMIS has resolved this issue for people. Guess I need to dig back in and try to identify other conflicting mods.

Sorry Wildzt, I commented on your post in the main page before I saw this. I am currently looking into other conflicting Mods but have yet to uncover a new one yet.

since i fought the dragon, it's snowing everywhere and anytime. No matter where I am :(

I'm having the same problem - got the key, can't open the well. I hear the "clang" as if a door opened but nothing happens. I don't have Static Mesh. I do have JK's Whiterun but disabling it hasn't fixed the problem. (JK changed the apperance of the well.) Is there any way to use the console to start the quest? I was really excited about this one...

It seems that Open Cities may also create a conflict with entering the well.

You can teleport into the well by usisng COC WhiterunWell, but unfortunately it takes you to the marker at the wrong entrance point to the cell. So you will have to avoid the desire to head into the load door you spawn in front of or else you will be seeing the end of the level.
