Example addon?
I'm interested in creating a vehicle in the same vain as the Tardis addon, but can't seem to get the Doors system to work.

I've decompiled both Safespaces and Tardis in an attempt to figure out how to use the Doors framework to work but to no avail. Could someone direct me to an example addon or documentation on how to get the Doors system to work?

Hey, unfortunately there is not really any documentation for Doors, but I notice that since you mentioned you decompiled them did you realise you can access the full source code on GitHub? It might make things easier to understand:

Thanks! I found the Tardis and Doors GitHubs but didn't notice that SafeSpace had one too. I'll check it out.

Safe Space is probably a much simpler implementation of the Doors addon with the only complex bit being around mesh generation of the box and frame.

I didn't get far over the year, the plan was to make a half life 2 combine APC with a multicrew interior (rocket loader/operator, MG gunner, driver and a spot for a commander to stand looking out the dome). I jokingly insisted on doing things in the most roundabout way possible (spawned a bunch of apc models parented to the entity, all with a renderclipping each). Eventually it got to the point it'd be a hassle to continue, and I got the exterior, interior, passable back hatch, and functionality with the multiple RT screens addon. The dome didn't work, nor did the vehicle function at all. I wished for an animated system of the rocket-gunner loading rockets from the two hotseats into the breach like tank shells, turning to the console, firing and guiding it, however it never got that far.

It was a nice proof of concept seeing the concept of a multicrew vehicle in garry's mod though. If I ever get to playing it again I might pick p the project.

That looks great! You should definitely continue on this, it does act as a sort of localised physics addon for stuff like this too

That does seem very cool. It's given me an idea for an APC TARDIS that has a combine-styled interior, can be driven, but can also teleport. No idea how that would work though.
