These ships are great, they have wonderful dseign and ballanced weaponry. The only problem is playing as them sometimes. They have so little ways to thicken themselves and most of them have easy access ports to destroy their cores. Even my built ships do, but for the sake of a tiny bit more effectivness. I feel like these should have a faster regeneration rate than some other factions, especially if being modeled after coral-like things with such a thin design. It just makes them a sort of easy target to mess with.
