Dear Cataclysm Remastered 2.0 beta community

I have come accross a problem which is stopping me from playing Cataclysm. I cannot complete the 2nd or the 3rd training missions. And as I need to complete the training missions as a prerequisite to playing the full game, I need help to get over this.

In the 2nd training mission I get as far as needing to build a scout, however the icon on the carrier is red; as in unable to build any, and the ship allowance in the build menu shows 0/0. The narrator asks me to click on the scout in the build menu to start the build process; however when I click on the build icon the progress bar does not fill up. And as I cannot build a ship I cannot progress past this point.

In the 3rd mission, I can get to the point where it asks me to capture a frigate, When the progress bar completes the capture of the frigate, the frigate stays red and does not become part of my fleet. The mission just hangs at this point.

I am running windows 10, and can provide further info if it helps.

-Edit- I have tried reinstalling Cataclysm by unsubscribing, resubscribing, redownloading and reinstalling just the add on, to no avail.

I would really appriciate some help on this, as this game in particular is one of my all time favorites.
