Cities: Skylines

Cities: Skylines

All 25 Areas purchasable

Please elaborate on the mod mechanics
How does it change the game progression?

Did you add milestones after the 9th tile to further unlock tiles, or did you just make the player able to buy all 25 tiles?

Or have you just unlocked the landscape completely from the get-go, which removes part of the challenge?

I´m happy to elaborate:

The last Milestone (13) just adds the permission to buy 17 new ares instead of one.

Milestones 1-12 are unchanged, so is the progression / challenge.

Nice!

But I also can understand the appeal of having one or two per milestone and creating milestones 14, 15, etc. Do you plan creating another version of the mod with more milestones for a more gradual unlock?

I´m still diving into the Moding / API of Skylines. If it is possible I will for sure add additional milestones!

Does using this disable achivements in a world?

yes

So this mod does exactly the same as the other similar mod in the workshop that does the same thing? or anyhow both are not the same and one of them does something different?

Any mod you install and activates will disable achievemnts, but there is a md that reactivates them, check it out.

I think this mod does the same thing, but instead of unlocking them all from the get-go, it allows a more gradual progression as it doesn't unlock the last 17 until the last progression!

Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong! :)

Thanks so much modder, love it!

@Varana, Yes, it has does the same, but it is 1) coded differently (afaik the other mode broke for some time with an update) and 2) the author did not include it´s sourcecode, which I think is a must-do, so that people can look at the code and verify that it is not malicious.

If my mod broke with an update, why u don't report me before copy my mod?
And all DLL from unity can be decompiled in the mono develop, so the source is useless (since you can replace the code with a fair code, but compile a different DLL and put in its place)

This copy of 25 tiles unlockable mod was really unnecessary, only divided the players in two different places. Didn't added a thing to the game community!

Round 1... FIGHT! xD

I think both of you did good and wrong things so let it be, it is not harming anyone, and you are not winning nor loosing anything.

But it is true that the first mod, and the idea, are from @Šäaik Klyte doh ^^
Mumen Rider Mar 24, 2015 @ 9:42am
I don't know whether or not the code was copied, I know that both mods were available at launch, an I asked the same question for both modders. I am using tomdotio's because he seemed to be more actively engaged into supporting it.

It is not necessary to create a ruckus over it, since this is a low-hanging fruit in terms of modding difficulty.

Yes, I agree, and because I have 'harder' mods to do I didn't do so much support in my mod. I was (and I am until now) working in my other mod ( http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=408875519 ) and it required so much attention. I don't have time to always come to steam and check all comments and reply it just in time.

@Šäaik Klyte I did not know it was broken, because I don´t use your mod. It was stated by users of your mod in your comments section.

And after you "suggested" it I decompiled your dll: I can safly say, looking at my source, that I did it differently.

@Šäaik Klyte Btw. your link to your other mod does not work. Here is a working one for everybody interested: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=408875519

Whatever if the code isn't exactly the same, the function is. When I saw this mod for the first time, I thought it worked with a different way that my mod work, and I don't see problem in it (your description wasn't so detailed). But it that you did isn't so fair, making a different mod with the same function. If don't have my source code was a problem, so you could request me and I could put it on the description or anywhere else.
