Report a translation problem
There is an option to do it card-by-card (a ton of images instead of a few blocks). If this bug causes people not to play it even though they love it, I may try it, but it's a looooooong process to write all the names and join everything correctly.
but i couldn't go further than card 15-16 (so, the very beginning...) without occuring this issue
i tried a lot of things to try and understand what did trigger it, but it really seems random. and once it's black or white, even the rollback in TTS cannot help, the card will be blocked again
trust me, i'm a huge fan of the game, so if i can help, (like play-testing) do not hesitate :)
i already bought it 3 times, but in french, the rules were badly translated for the purge, which drasticly change the game, so i have to restart it, but i'd like not to pay it a fourth time xD
With the "weird" card states, I found that saving, then loading e.g. Go and reloading the KL save fixes things for me. Try it and if it doesn't work, I may start experimenting with single-card images, which is going to take forever to import, name and join correctly.
My friend bought the game and I borrowed it for a replay - stickers can be removed, markers on the sleeves or on papers slipped into the sleeve can be easily removed. Another friend has it in Czech (and replayed it several times with my little guidance / rule explanations) and we all liked it ;) but having to put stickers on and then remove them later is sooo much work.
How could i get the deck from extension again after deleting them?
The first time, i used a marker onto a sleeve, easy to erase. (a bit TOO easy, it goes of after a few shuffles)
so instead i bought it again. it's quite cheap so i don't mind
tell me if this is true, but it seems that when i change the state of a card (make it go from 1 -> 2 let say), the game reloads ALL images (other cards too)
i've did a few tests, and sometimes, when i change ONE card, ALL OF THEM goes to black. getting to the previous state (2 -> 1) make all the right images to come back
That's what's telling me the issue could be here. not refreshing ALL the images when you modify one could be the trick

You can try adding some bags and just placing the decks you don't need inside them. The game ignores contents of a bag for the most part, so that might help. When the issue is random, it's hard to test myself. Alternatively, delete everything - and when you need some expansion, just select the decks and use Ctrl+C. Within your save, press Ctrl+V - done.
i deleted everything (including the discovery deck) and the game bug even with only 10 cards in play. random cards go black when i change the state of a random card
but not all the time, sometimes i can upgrade a card properly
i really don't understand. it's easy to replicate, since it happens all the time, but since it doesnt always do the same thing (sometimes one card goes black, or two, or all of them) it's difficult to understand what exactly could be the root cause
in the config, i unchecked the load high quality images
i just played for 3 hours without any issue. so it is indeed the loading of the images who is responsible
I have just tested it in my bug-testing mini mod and it does not work there. Quick testing with my saved Kingdom Legacy game showed that there still is an issue with some cards.
EDIT: I've identified a way how to find if the card is affected - its loading_custom property will be set to TRUE. I've tried a simple hot-fix that forces change of state on hovering over the card to another state and back. It works most of the time; however, it fails completely when the temporary state does not load as well, requiring save & reload.
