Half-Life 2

Half-Life 2

INTERLOPER D - KULCS
Might have found something
Checked the playdemo command with the map installed and there was a demo titled "e3_lc_2005_smooth" to make sure it wasn't something else I unsubbed from the map and the demo was gone. It also gave an error about the source version being 24 and not 7

demo file only seems to appear after running the map
The demo file cannot be ran normally, I am very interested, so I'm trying to find a way to play it without finding an old version of hl2 (might have to do that anyway)

a lot of players are looking into putting the map in different games, maybe we have to use source engine 7, doing a little bit of research, we have been using the orange box (24) version
I was able to get the demo file to appear in lost coast so far and I tried source sdk 2007 but it didn't appear there

I found a 2004 retail release version of hl2 on internet archive, so if sdk 2007 doesn't work for me, I'm gonna have to hope the older one works. (idk if there is a specific 2005 version of hl2 needed here, but I sure hope not)

I've now tried portal, hl2dm and hl:s and none of them gave me the demo file. So far the only games I can get the file to appear in are hl2 itself and lost coast
Starting to think that I'm completely wrong about the demo file, It's possible that its a leftover demo file just sitting in lost coast as even without the map installed when I launch lost coast It's there. Would explain the fact it only appears when launching the map through the workshop, the map was most likely made in lost coast and its appearing due to the game switching to lost coast.

It is a demo from Lost Coast. If you load up the old Lost Coast and go to play demos you'll see the same file there.

UPDATE: Was able to find out that the demo is actually just an old HDR Demonstration of Lost Coast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbFeBpMB87w
Sick, thanks! I honestly really wanted to see what it was, regardless of the arg
