earliest use of gris or whatever it was onto source engine, the cones and tiles suggest this
vmf file was generated by some program running from the xbox version, meaning it's a program we haven't seen before, possibly what generates the map files from the demos with unique maps

i mean it could be map gen producing mazes such as that one episode interoper (8?)
it looks like a parkour map with the sphere as a reward

Interesting that UMF formats are "Universal Manifest Formats" relating to XML code and all that. Very curious why something that generates maps is leaving snippets that point to "Universal Manifest"

All these letters are called the same and can be found in HL2. I dont think they have anything related to the investigation

I don't have a coherent theory on why this exist but I think it can relate to three things. The first is the portal rtx int menu stuff because of the same texture for that is everywhere here. The second is the eidacan video because the normal version of this map is where that video takes place. The third is that it relates to the eida video with the tall figure in the doorway just because I think some of the geometry and textures look similar to the doorway the figure was in.
