Lockdown: Chapter Two DLC
Kyle's Review of "Lockdown: Chapter Two DLC" - 5/5
A superb remix. 5/5 stars.

Lockdown 2 DLC is essentially a "director's cut" with extended levels and an all-new map. The original was already excellent, and DLC is even better — if you're in the mood for a 2-hour campaign, that is.

Everything good about the Lockdown series is still here, from the amazing visuals to the great pacing. The additions to the old maps feel completely natural and they're a joy to explore, but the brand new map is the highlight. Set in a church with a dark secret, it has some of the best environment design I've ever seen in L4D2. Even the characters comment on how cool it is!

The military base in Map 5 is the only part that feels worse than the original to me. It's longer and more maze-like, so navigation is kind of a chore. The significant improvements to the finale mean it's worth seeing through to the end, though — camping on the roof is not the dominant strategy it once was, and it's a lot more fun this way.

Overall, this is a must-play if you've got the time.

Thanks for your review Kyle!

Even though you weren't the biggest fan of the military base changes, I'm glad you had an overall positive experience while playing. Map nr 4 (A Father's Paradise), is probably my favourite map of all I have created so far in the Lockdown series, and I'm really happy it's being received so well. A lot of love went into this (Pun intended).. :D

Being 6 maps, this campaign does sit on the longer end. I was a little bit worried that people would think it was too lengthy and dragged out, but most people don't seem to mind so far.

Again, thank you for playing and leaving a review. Take care :)

People seek for exceptionally lengthy ones if they have all of the food and all night. Especially if they frequently travel.
