Suggestions Board
A tab for suggesting things that you think would make the mod better. Please do not suggest the following:

- being able to use items other than collectibles from your inventory.
- being able to "place blocks," or anything else that would be a complete major update by itself.
- Suggestions for recipes. They will happen eventually, please be patient.
- Compatibility with other mods that can be done on their end or by a middleman mod, e.g. Items or Recipes
- Bug fixes, those go in the bug fixes discussion :)
- A "non-repentogon" version.
- Vertical Slabs

Maybe some sort of a tutorial how to make an expansion mod to this?
What i mean by this is some sort of way to make a mod for more crafts or for crafts of modded items.
the mod is awesome btw!

idk if this is what you meant by not being able to use items other then the ones from your inventory but being able to use items in your inventory would be cool (not counting hearts because that would obviously be over powered lol)

also make it so you can toggle the hotbar to only appear when you hover over it or maybe a keybind to hide it

Yeah, that's what I meant

Sure, this functionality already exists anyways in the latest update

Will look into it. The Example Mod has a lot of resources, but maybe a video tutorial would be useful

good to know!

How about a "default" pickup of each type for unrecognized modded pickups to fall back on?
That way modded pickups that aren't integrated could still be used for generic recipes
Some thought be ready for an essay:

it being a bit easier to drop stuff and not immediately pick it up would be nice. Especially if then mine-crafty items could burn in lava or fall off the edges.

Midas touch is insanely over tuned. Though I like the feel of playing around generating items so a wider spread of item makers being easier to craft would be better instead of Midas making like 10 coins a room.

Hiding the custom cursor if you have the one in the the repentance config on would be nice.

rebindable inventory button.

Also I heard you are working on crafting recipes so thought I would give my input as ideas and thoughts on that as well as some small ideas.

Played a bit and noticed what tends to happen is you get a lot of low tier consumables and then make mostly stat ups. I think adding recipes that can craft hard to get things. Mainly the ability to convert tarots and runes (and maybe pills) with recipes to get the right ones even if its costly (Ie: Empress = tarot + iron axe, 6xkeys 3xhearts = cracked key).
Would it be possible for a version of this mod to be made that's more in line with Isaac's theming/visual style?

For technical reasons, I don't think this is a good idea. Sorry.

There's nothing different about it, not sure what this means.

Does it not do that already?

Eventually. I'm more focused on fixing large issues with the mod currently.

There are recipes in the files related to conversions of runes that just aren't accessible just yet, because I don't want to add the rune shard recipe and have people un-craft their runes without all of them being accessible. I'm going to hard pass on the idea of card conversions, though. There's a lot of ways to change cards, you just have to think outside the box.

I'm glad you've picked up on part of the design philosophy form this mod. Recipes that are expensive are usually not the "correct" way of getting something, but are *a* way if you have enough resources to make whatever you want. Otherwise, run variety is encouraged through niche items as recipe components.

The bag of crafting seems to add the Midas touch effect when its swung which makes it absolutely print money. Just tested vanilla it does not do that. Also the bag damage and stuff is way up (which I think is very cool kinda makes T.Cain a more melee character) but not sure if that is part of the issue

Interesting. I didn't know this wasn't vanilla behavior. I won't patch it, though, I'll just reduce it somehow.

It's not something I would personally make, but you or anyone else is free to make it themselves. there's already enough work for me to put into making all of the Minecraft styled sprites.

The mod is pretty extensible, and if anyone is interested in it, I could walk them through it and maybe add code to help it be more possible.

i dunno if this rly fits in here but including a full list of crafting ingredients (like also specifying what pill effect corresponds to which number n stuff) in the read me would be nice for making your own recipes
Liz  [developer] Mar 14 @ 8:00pm
They're the Isaac ones. For example, if you go on the wiki.gg page for Isaac and look up a card, the last number next to the card (So for 5.300.55, it would be 55 for example) will be that card.

For pills you can go in game and type "g [pill effect name]" and it will autocorrect it to the number of the pill effect.

I'm hesitant to provide a list because mods can add their own pill effects and such, and even I myself don't know all of the IDs, I just know where to get them.
Would be cool to be able to fill the buckets using the environment. Caves, Flooded Caves and Downpour seem to have plenty of water lying around and there's lava on the Mines.
Liz  [developer] Mar 14 @ 10:09pm
There are already bucket variants that use the bucket and empty it when used. Isaac's tears is a stand in for Water bucket, for example.
