1) Give monster built-in winter insulation (I'd say 120 or 180) due to his coat
2) Make Monster Maxwell passively loose sainity near Maxwell statues "Good old William... What happened to you?.."
Near phonograph "The whole existence of this thing disgust me!" and wx-78 with music circuit "No... You won't dare to turn this thing on, you filthy metal can!"
I could see into it, but right now that's just sort of how it's gonna be.
1: Monster Maxwell demands some sort of combat buff. I find it funny that his hulking monster has no combat abilities, only deterents, that would render him as the true lord of the Constant. Either he should have a mode which makes his swings as fast as a normal character or he should deal bigger damage/knockback. Otherwise each fight is based around trading blows, rather than dealing damage.
2: He needs some sort of a drawback. Being able to survive Charlie is absolutely, impossibly, indescribably powerful. I am not a person who talks about balance like a sacred thing to uphold, I promise, but I am just thinking about what could be added onto this character. My idea is that he goes rampant when he is hungry, attacking the closest thing, friend or foe. He will attack them until he kills them, after which he gains 50 or something hunger as a temporary solution. This can also be solved if he just finds food on the ground.
3: I like this mod profusely. I am very excited to see where it goes. My only complaint is there is not enough of it.
Thanks a ton for the insightful comment! I've been fiddling with his combat behind the scenes, trying to make something fair and fun to use, even testing out a groundpound move (and other sorts of abilities.) However... I had also decided to take a break that lasted WAY longer than I intended (3 months!) and I had intended for a new little patch update (it fixes a lot of things that bother me about the mod currently, like him getting insulation and some adjustment to his speed)
I was trying to also think of a new attack animation, but I can't think of anything that is plausible for me to implement (or would feel good to play in a standard gameplay sense) (..or look good on monster Max.) Any in-depth suggestions would be amazing!
on your second point, THAT'S A PLAYABLE PETS THING!!! Go into the playable pets configuration settings and make it so playable pets aren't immune to Charlie. Honest to God, I tried to make it so he just was inherently not immune, but that seems to be out of my control sadly.
Also, again on your second point, I *have* been trying to work out a feature called "Ferocity," which is actually similar to what you described... but, I need to remind myself, this is my first ever mod, I am NOT good at modding by any means!
Honestly I have no clue how I even got this far, stumbling through production like an idiot and getting truckloads of help. I promise new features are coming! Just... they're coming slowly because not knowing how to do what I want is immensely discouraging.
Again, thanks a lot for you feedback! Means a bunch and is very motivating :)
