I'm guessing they mean the cell-shading look. The game Borderlands had this.

Understood. And I just removed the Native Style mod and the graphics stopped breaking my eyes. And with the help of this mod, can you make the night brighter? Or bring back the "vanilla" night? It's not interesting to play only during the day.

By removing the mod entirely instead of modifying the settings, you also remove several graphical upgrades and indeed make everything darker.

Nothing prevents you from playing during night, having a light source equipped makes things easier to see but also makes you easier to see , just as intended.
