How necessary/important are the performance mods?
I'm not exactly comfortable with messing with my NVIDIA settings etc so I'm curious if I can try this collection without them?

You can avoid the Nvidia performance fixes if you really don't want to.

I am currently using an AMD card, but in the past I've used them when I owned a 1080TI. They won't mess anything if you follow the instructions but I can understand that you don't want to use those ^^

As long as you use the other performance mods (Re_Kenshi, CTD fix etc) you should be fine.
I wouldn't recommend playing without those, but you can skip the Nvidia one.

Right! That's good at least, but the others are absolutely necessary then?

Thank you for your super quick reply btw!

They do help a lot, both with loading times and memory, the CTD fix reduce/removes crashes and RE_Kenshi does more than just optimizing your game (adding an in-game menu to configure the number of attack slots, the number of character per squads etc ) .

I guess you could play with just those two, but i really wouldn't recommend it.

Apart from the Nvidia one, they all only optimize the game's files, they won't mess with your system in any way.
They do have their own installation method, but they are just "advanced" mods in the end.

Many people have been using these for several years, if they had any nefarious effects, it would be widely known by now ;)

Right!I'll get everything except the NVIDIA one, maybe I really do worry too much

The performance upgrade is worth the hassle and worry ^^
