Must read tips
  1. Healing patched wounds by resting in beds is fast, but will cost your nutrition, so don't go venturing out without a good supply (and a sleeping bag so you can heal).

  2. The "knockout" and "coma" mechanics have been partially replaced by the much quicker and realistic "blood loss" knockout. In this state, actually surviving depends on the amount of cut damage took before going down or quick medical response.

  3. Patching wounds takes a lot of time and uses a load of medicine, and that also includes bleeding. Having a dedicated medic is essential to be able to save downed characters in time, and also to save resources.

  4. Humans are squishy while animals are tough beasts to kill.

  5. Being encumbered takes a heavy toll and will cost you a lot of calories. Always be well fed and bring extra rations before going out.

  6. Food nutrition has been balanced so all food types are viable and worth buying, and characters need a realistic amount of food to keep doing things around: sit them down on any object to reduce the hunger rate.

  7. You can't outrun predators, so always watch where you are going.

  8. You are much more likely to run into predators during the night.

  9. All carnivore predators will eat you alive, so avoid their nests like the plague.

  10. Skimmers stay buried down during the day and hunt at night.

  11. Don't fret about carrying the stuff you need running slowly: patience is king, and you can't be faster than most of your enemies, anyhow.

  12. Always wear as much protection as you can. Don't expect to come out alive of battles without good plate armor, and even so.

  13. People will become hostile if they see you sneaking near them; shopkeepers are specially sensitive.

  14. You can try to lock-pick everything, even with 0% chance. This will increase your skill and eventually get it unlocked, but don't expect it to be fast though: always bring tools if you want to get the job done, for all locks are much harder.

  15. The people you recruit are the ones who will accompany you and are unique, if they die that's it.

  16. Bed renting prices are suddenly way more expensive. Always check the price before lying on them.

  17. Leader-less bandits don't become hostile just because you killed some other bandits that look like them; unless you decide to massacre their entire caste, that is.

  18. Lower level characters do very little damage, but things get real (quick) with skilled fighters, so never take your chances against sharp weapon wielding opponents: the gaps in your armor may betray you to a quick death.

  19. With all the wars going on, bolts for crossbows are getting all the more expensive, so use them wisely.

  20. Items do not despawn anymore, so don't worry about leaving things scattered around or stashing backpacks of loot. Bodies still disappear.

  21. Factions are getting angry, and have started offering much juicier bounties for all the troublemakers. Dust King, for example, is now worth 105.000 Cats if delivered alive.

  22. Don't be surprised if you are taxed heavily, especially within the Empire borders, where being poor is a crime punishable by execution without trial.
