ive completed a couple campaigns solo expert with these bots, they arent perfect but theyre better than the vanilla bots. its very important to modify the bots weapons preferences to make sure they dont pickup sub-optimal weapons and items (there are guides on how to do this) and bind commands to a couple unused keys on your keyboard (you can also download the voice command mod thats made for left 4 bots 2) to force the bots to stay close to you, pickup certain items, or execute specific actions such as throwing a molotov to a certain spot or to heal a team-mate. they are actually pretty decent if u lead them well and play to their strengths. They have very good aim, dont let them use shotguns or melee as the more range they have the better and ive observed that they arent good at deciding when they should and shouldnt use their melee.

I feel like having at least one bot to crown the witch is nice so that you don't have to do it yourself every time. Also, Francis bot is great at using melee (just him though). Just my 2 cents.
