1. Begin by uninstalling the heavenly upgrades.
2. Save your game progress.
3. Proceed to clear the mod data.
4. Reinstall the mod.
By following these steps, the upgrades you've acquired within the new heavenly upgrades mod will be reset, subsequently aligning your heavenly chips to the anticipated amount. This process should provide a resolution to the inconsistency in prices and recalculations during ascension.
did you use vanilla More Heavenly Upgrades before using this mod?
I've tried uninstalling the mod, wiping all mod and cloud data then reinstalling and the upgrades are still there.
I'm gunna try removing those upgrades, but can't find correct commands.
EDIT: found a solution but it sucks
I loaded my save into a save editor, dumped the CCSE mod data into a word editor then manually changed the "unlocked" and "bought" flags on all lump upgrades to 0, reimported and they were gone, no more negative HC.
Thanks for this advice. After reading your post about how to fix the issue I am thinking of adding a menu option to "clear" the data when you come from the old heavenly upgrades mod.
Would an option to reset all currently unlocked "new heavenly upgdrades" solve the issue for you? If not, which solution would you like to see as someone who is coming from the old mod?
Yeah just having a debug 'reset heaveanly upgrades' would work. However it would be more interesting to get to the bottom of why CCSE insists on storing data and flags for mods that are no longer installed, even when specifically telling it to clear data. Like I saw arguements in the CCSE mod data dump that were for OTHER mods I also uninstalled, even after clearing multiple times, but for them it wasn't an issue because no current mods use data with the same names. This may actually be a common issue for mods that use CCSE, but it just happens that this time it created a very obvious error.
Anyway, thanks for the quick reply :).
Just to be sure: You checked your savedata in the cookie clicker menu by navigating to the "mods/check mod data" section and deleted the save data for both, the basic "more heavenly upgrades" and "more heavenly upgrades remastered" mods, right? Because this should fix the issue aswell.
