Negative heavenly chips when first ascending
I installed this mod and ascended but it ended up making my heavenly chip count negative so I couldn't buy anything. I'm guessing the new formula to calculate the amount of chips it should give you is having some overflow problems?
After some testing, it could also be possible that the fact that I used the original more heavenly upgrades mod as it showed the upgrades I had bought with that mod already unlocked

The problem at hand seems to be associated with varying prices between the mods. I implemented the recalculation of heavenly chips every time you ascend to ensure accurate amounts, which in your specific case led to an overspending of heavenly chips . To address this issue, you can consider the following steps:

1. Begin by uninstalling the heavenly upgrades.
2. Save your game progress.
3. Proceed to clear the mod data.
4. Reinstall the mod.

By following these steps, the upgrades you've acquired within the new heavenly upgrades mod will be reset, subsequently aligning your heavenly chips to the anticipated amount. This process should provide a resolution to the inconsistency in prices and recalculations during ascension.

I really can't manage to make this mod works. It keeps giving me negative heavenly chips no matter what I do. I reinstall the game, reinstall the mod, clearly deleted game folder, tried everything. It will always resorts to negative heavenly chips whenever this mod is activated.

@High Ping Pantaro
did you use vanilla More Heavenly Upgrades before using this mod?

I'm having this issue aswell, it's almost certainly due to the fact that I have all of the 'sugar lump' related heavenly upgrades unlocked despite never having bought them in this save. The number of negative HC is exactly equal to the cost of those upgrades. I have played with the original More Heavenly Upgrades mod before, but I completely wiped my save and uninstalled that mod.

I've tried uninstalling the mod, wiping all mod and cloud data then reinstalling and the upgrades are still there.

I'm gunna try removing those upgrades, but can't find correct commands.

EDIT: found a solution but it sucks

I loaded my save into a save editor, dumped the CCSE mod data into a word editor then manually changed the "unlocked" and "bought" flags on all lump upgrades to 0, reimported and they were gone, no more negative HC.

Thanks for this advice. After reading your post about how to fix the issue I am thinking of adding a menu option to "clear" the data when you come from the old heavenly upgrades mod.
Would an option to reset all currently unlocked "new heavenly upgdrades" solve the issue for you? If not, which solution would you like to see as someone who is coming from the old mod?

Dunno how complicated it would be to program but I think the best solution would be to have a pop up appear the first time that the mod detects that the heavenly chips are negative and give the user the option of either keeping the upgrades and staying negative or resetting the "new heavenly upgrades" and getting a refund for the ones they've already unlocked (using the prices of the old mod). The most important factor is somehow letting the user know that the negative chips mean the mod is working as intended and that it is not a bug

Yeah just having a debug 'reset heaveanly upgrades' would work. However it would be more interesting to get to the bottom of why CCSE insists on storing data and flags for mods that are no longer installed, even when specifically telling it to clear data. Like I saw arguements in the CCSE mod data dump that were for OTHER mods I also uninstalled, even after clearing multiple times, but for them it wasn't an issue because no current mods use data with the same names. This may actually be a common issue for mods that use CCSE, but it just happens that this time it created a very obvious error.

Anyway, thanks for the quick reply :).

Just to be sure: You checked your savedata in the cookie clicker menu by navigating to the "mods/check mod data" section and deleted the save data for both, the basic "more heavenly upgrades" and "more heavenly upgrades remastered" mods, right? Because this should fix the issue aswell.

I deleted mod data few times, but there weren't dedicated sections for those mods, and there still aren't. It seems like all the data from your mod and the origional is just stored in the CCSE mod data section. This could be some wierd ♥♥♥♥ happening with my install, idk.

The mod should now be way more stable as it has it's own save-method. I also added an option to reset all heavenly upgrades to free up any overused heavenly chips.
