Maplewood Staff can no longer apply its heal attack to the wearer. But why?

This mod had changes to gear in pre-release, before I'd decided against it and reset all of the changes. The modifications to Aid were part of that, and simply overlooked. I'll put up a fix that resets Aid to vanilla properly when I can.

Dragoon Seal is still called Fencer Seal.

Normally not one to do this, but I may toy with creating "Ultimate" Equipment in the terms of weapons and headgear if I find the time. I feel late game it's missing that "feel" and some of the late bosses dropping such or even maybe the "ultima" fight for a token may be a great way to reward and pred endgame. Plus a lotta cool FF weapons that'd be nice to see blend into a given class' playstyle.

May send the completed project over at some point / join the discord. Been getting a feel for balance in game.

I'm slowly expanding the postgame. I do plan to have some ultimate weapons & armor to fight for. I'm just one person, so it takes time :).

Feel free to use my mod for an example, though. If it helps you learn, I'm cool with anything.

No rush expected, but good to know. Has been interesting tinkering with such however.

As a side note. Probably known but busted, Red mage "X magic" with "No MP Cost First Turn" with their coat is absolutely broken. Though requires quite the setup to even do. You may wish to adjust it... Maybe a limited amount of casts, or mayhaps have it "spread" for the few casts it gets.

A query, but thoughts on changing diamond to "Adamantite" gear? Or it being an upgrade to diamond with some sorta bonus stat?

I think having an equipment tier above Diamond is fine, though I want the growth differential to be small. I'll consider putting Adamantite gear in the game in some way. Possibly the classic way (Pink Puffs).

Adamantite deposits at the bottom of the sea and in certain ancient areas also felt fitting. But aye, whatever way is done I'd say very slight upgrade. At the end of the day ultimately the job gear should "mostly" be best in slot for an average play through. Though part of my bringing it up was kinda feeling like diamond in the mod wasn't really special for the investment.

Would also love to see the Seals used not just for JP or gear but to learn Ultimate Skills, again making you choose between gear or skills.

I'd prefer all content be accessible on a single save, tbh. Maybe that's not how FF games roll, but Crystal Project certainly has the "here are all the tools as long as you work for them" attitude that I'd hate to see lost.

At most, maybe have some sort of vendor/trader that lets you swap similar to the boomer equipment. Limiting combinations and power, but not fully locking you out of anything.
