Astral blood - visual tweaks

Possible Help?
I have been playing AoW4 but I agree with mostly everyone that the transformations are over-the-top and, with the current gameplay arc, leads every race with a keeper into an amalgamation of all the minor transformations.

To that end I've been trying to play with the modding tools to do much of what you've done with your three mods, tweak transformations to make them do less per transformation (Leafskin only effects skin, Scion of Flame doesn't effect their eyes, etc.)

However, opening up the transformation files in the modding tools, the only thing I seem able to do is modify certain values. I spent some time opening up all the different transformations and even dug into the mods to try and find the "differences" between the modded transformation files and the unmodded, no such luck.

Since you have succeeded where I have failed, I was wondering if you could describe or discuss how you managed to tweak the visuals for the transformations.

///This is from spawnkin that doesnt make you small - mod comment section (look it up on steam workshop)///

1. Copy Tome_Horde.rpk from Tomes Folder in Age of Wonders 4 Main Folder.
2. Paste it in Packs Folder inside your Mod Folder.
3. In Package Manager, use Resource Editor to open Tome_Horde.rpk inside Packs Folder.
4. Look for Category: Tome of the Horde - Transformations > Spawnkin - Prop Group.
5. Right click on Spawnkin - Prop Group > Create Mod.
6. At Property Group, click the Box next to List.
7. Remove Spawnkin - Modularity Provider. Click 'OK'
8. Right Click on Spawnkin - Modularity Provider > Marked Deleted.
9. Save. Save.
10. Inside Package Manager > Contents > ResourcePacks. Add Tome_Horde.rpk from your Packs Folder.
11. Save then Publish.

That's how I made this mod.

Happy Modding!

/// so transformations are usually defined inside the book that gives them
basically you just find the book -> check each of the dropdown menu options (it should be easy to find but sometimes devs are crazy and define it somewhere else) and then try to figure out what is it that you can edit in there. for example in this mod i just found the hair colour change provider and deleted it. and thats it. saved, packed and shipped.

Indeed, thanks very much for the step-through. I had gotten to perusing through the modding tools for the individual tomes, but had been unable to identify what exactly in the transformation spell files were imposing the visual change.
