Chromanin book locations
In addition to the original riddles, there are also some alternatives. The location of and hint for each book is randomly determind at the start of the game.


Book 2

The wise gets a great overview before devoting himself to the next task. - Climb to the top of the tower of the old castle ruins in the orc area, where you meet Ur-Shak.
The wise gets to the bottom of it before moving on to the next task. - Swim into one of the sunken hut at the bottom of the New Camp's lake.
The wise sees where it will end before letting himself be carried away by the current. - The "current" is the river's current, which goes from the New Camp, passes the Old Camp, passes the monastery ruin and ultimately ends in a waterfall, which goes into the sea. Follow it to just before the waterfall and look at the right side of the coast.
The wise lizard thinks around the corner before devoting himself to the next task. - There's a plateau with a lot of lizards on the way from the Swamp Camp to the mountain fort. At the mountain Instead of going right towards the bloodhounds, go left.



Book 3

What is devided will be reunited, after being massively separated for a short time. - Near the big rock splitting the river going from the New Camp past the Old Camp.
Even those who have broken with all the rest of the world must be faithful to one another. - In the cave of Quentin's robber camp.
Those whose ultimate loyalty is not with their camp need a place where they feel unobserved. - The hidden place with a kettle, benches and a cave near the entrance to the orc area. Where you meet Diego in Gothic 2.
No one knows why the orcs are guarding this site. - From Cavalorn's hut go past the snappers to the end of the road.
Some rock faces are simply made for climbing. - Past Pacho before encountering the orc dogs, climb the cube-like stair structure in the mountain to your left and enter the cave.



Book 4

The clever fisherman also tries his luck on the other side of the lake. - Across the lake in front of the New Camp entrance.
A massive explosion split it in two. - Go to the ruined tower in the Old Camp from its castle courtyard.
The magic of the new cult allows one to reach things that are encircled by the current. - From the Swamp Camp entrance go upwards following the river until you see big rocks just after the waterfall. Use Telekinesis to move the book.
The magic of the new sect lets the necromancer grasp the other side of the lake. - Use Telekinesis to get the book from the other side of the lake near the entrance to Xardas's new tower.
I'm the middle of the three in the enemy's territory. - Just after the two guards guarding the orc area and the big group of orc dogs is a tower. Climb its ladder.



Book 5

Long forgotten are the deeds of those who once were aboard. - The sunken ship with lots of fire lizards around at the coast from the Swamp Camp to the monastery ruin.
Long forgotten are the deeds of those who lie buried in it. - Near the beginning of the game climb the stair-like structure in the rock face to get to the plateau with young animals and a goblin. The book is at the caved in mine entrance.
It holds them safely, it keeps them warm. - Above the big cave housing most of the New Camp.
A horn protrudes from the mountain above the cauldron. - Go to the Free Mine. Look at the rock face above it and there's a light-colored horn-like protrusion.
Long forgotten is the magic that makes it shine. - Go into the swamp of the Swamp Camp and look for an object with a blue shine.

I'd change "devided" to "divided" in one of the books :P
