He does care about bug fixes. The reason why zetas was discontinued was mainly the fact that he got burned out and the code and optimization was horrible/spaghetti

Its one of the reasons why Lambda Players was created as its supposed to be a clean and efficient rewrite

The fact he didnt bother to include a bug discussion shows he will go the same path as zeta which is mostly not listening at the community, just like zippy

I mean can't you blame him? Most people in this community can't read the description and many addon creators leave due to people pestering/demanding them to make and fix ♥♥♥♥

I saw at least 2 developers stop making addons due to kids just demanding them to make stuff.

You must understand that I do not want this to be a full time job. I stopped looking at the bug discussion back with the zetas a week or so after release because of how overwhelming it was. You can say what you want about that but that was my first GLua addon. I never had anything accelerate overnight to the behemoth the zetas have become. So reasonably it was just too much pressure for me. So I turned to listening to what people on discord had to report. It was at a pace I was most comfortable with. I still do this today because it is still the pace I am comfortable with.

Remember that this isn't a paid addon. If this was paid, you have every right to be upset at me for not maintaining it at a constant rate and or completely ignoring things. This however, is not paid. I do not have to maintain it right after release since this isn't a job I am paid for.

The main reason why I make addons is just because it is fun. Learning new things code wise and trying out new things is great. The fun aspect gets taken away when I have to be a customer support agent 24/7 fixing things. This is why I do not engage with bug fixing as consistently as you would want me to. Gotta look at this from a developer's point of view especially a gmod addon developer because the steam workshop here is not a dev friendly environment. It gets real draining.

Sorry I don't live up to people's expectations but this is just how I am and this is how I roll.

Shame that people gotta be so toxic and entitled for a free extremely well made addon. I know a lotta times negativity have more impact than the positives but I think StarFrost is doing an amazing job making one of the best contents in Gmod.

just wished 5 star front page addons had a bit stronger quality control, but luckily i always have my doubts if i see a non 512x gif. Granted its a good addon and the description had me hooked, but its negated by all its flaws.

I have no idea why you are throwing the words "Quality Control" as if it's their obligation to meet demands but of all the addons to whinge about?

Try to appreciate that with not a single penny yanked from your wallet what you get is an extreme well executed, not just good, but downright revolutionary to Garry's Mod player A.I, never properly realized before until Zeta came up. Not only that but now they are getting a revitalization via Lambda players with more updates at a pace the dev is comfy with. Don't know how you can be so rude about something like this but alright.

Also the complaint about gif resolution is just hilariously petty. It's easy to load up and does a good job showing what the addon is about.

What flaws? Yes, the addon isn't perfect, but this isn't Team Fortress 2 with bots specifically designed for the game. The addon does what it can with what it is given. Gmod nextbots are less capable than they seem.

Of course he cares about fixing bugs, even if he doesn't have a discussion for them.
Also, Zippy is a bad creator now? Along with StarFrost? All because they didn't want to
listen to the community? Star and Zippy have a right to not listen to this community if they

Kurome have you maybe considered that addon developers are not too keen to take the users within the Workshop too seriously because most of them share the same fried braincell ?

The users within the Workshop are all like 12. Just a cursory glance at the comments on this addon will show you that most of them can't even read the description. Despite StarFrost adding big bolded text and a big image to get the attention of all the 12 year olds. And because of that they still say stupid ♥♥♥♥ like that the addon doesn't have this or that simply because they can't look at the collection literally at the top of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ page. You even have a few of them saying that the rewritten bots are bland compared to the original, despite being functionally identical to the Zetas.

If most Workshop users weren't so braindead and could read, and write actual useful bug reports with instructions on reproducing the bug (If possible) and/or a stack trace from the console or the problems UI. Then StarFrost (Or any other addon developer.) would be able to better troubleshoot ♥♥♥♥. Most of the bugs reported on the Discord, including a few of mine, were fixed by him pretty quickly.
There's no point to making a bug report thread that will only be used by the same community of children that sometimes straight up admits to pirating the game to the faces of GMods' developers and then unironically ask them for help with their pirated copy.

He doesn't care about bugfixes my ass. Back when the Zetas were in active development, StarFrost was pushing like 2-3 updates PER DAY and a major update about every 2-3 days. He spent like 10+ hours per day in VS Code just working on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bots.

What he doesn't care about isn't bugfixes, it's all the illiterate children that roam the Workshop.

The quality of the front page addons is just fine. If you could actually use the gray matter in your brain or read words you could perhaps figure out how use the addon even. And like Socksy said, the whining about the THUMBNAIL RESOLUTION of all things is incredibly petty.

I can certainly read description and know how to use this simple addon and i get dense kids in my comments aswell. But that doesnt make me force people to report bugs in some dc server. And im not wining about the fact he used a crappy resolution, its about the fact i know who its from and what to expect.

Files used in desc cant be bigger than 2 MB.
If not the limit, we could use better resolution erc, but we are forced to use low res gifs

I mean if you think StarFrost is doing a trash job, let's see you guys do a better job.
